As one of Jazz90.1’s youngest volunteers, Brigette Meskell is a recent graduate of SUNY Brockport, where she double majored in Theatre and English, and minored in Music Business. For the past two years, Brigette volunteered as a venue manager during the Rochester International Jazz Festival, and loved every minute of meeting so many of the musicians. Awestruck by this opportunity, she realized that for 21+ years, she had been missing a completely undiscovered world of music — jazz! Although new to the world of jazz and public radio, she has had a life-long passion for music. As a pianist, guitarist, singer and songwriter, Brigette is always looking for inspiration. She has found a great deal of it in her newly piqued interest in jazz and community radio. You can hear Brigette every Thursday night from 10 p.m. – 12 a.m. on Jazz90.1.
