Brigette Meskell is a senior at SUNY Brockport. She is a double major in Theatre and English, and a minor in Music Business. This past summer, Brigette was an intern manager during the XRIJF at Kilbourn Hall, and loved every minute of meeting so many of the musicians. Awestruck by this opportunity, she realized that for 21 years, she had been missing out on a whole undiscovered world of music — jazz! She was honored to meet renowned artists such as Monte Alexander, Bill Frisell, Tierney Sutton and many more. Although new to the world of jazz appreciation, she has had a life-long passion for music. As a pianist, guitarist, singer and songwriter, Brigette is always looking for inspiration. She has found a great deal of it in her newly piqued interest in jazz. You can hear Brigette every Thursday night from 10 p.m. – 12 a.m. on Jazz90.1.
