(w/o) On September 19, Jazz90.1 and Station Manager Rob Linton were presented with a “Serving New York” award from The New York State Broadcasters Association at their annual awards ceremony. This award recognized the station’s annual Holiday Food Drive in partnership with The Summit Federal Credit Union, as well as our Back To School Supply Drive – both to support Greece Central School District Community Schools.

Radio and television stations from across the region were recognized for their community service projects, including 92.5 WBEE for their work with The Ronald McDonald House, 95.1 for their work with The Make a Wish Foundation, and many others.

“In 2018 when we began this project, Jazz90.1 saw a significant community need, and families who struggled to afford food. Through a partnership with the school district, we’ve collected thousands of pounds of food, which has been distributed to dozens of area families,” said Station Manager Rob Linton. “Our Back To School Supply Drive has also supported countless students who otherwise may struggle to afford school supplies.”
This is the first time that Jazz90.1 has received such an award from The NYSBA.
