Jazz90.1 has had the opportunity to partner with many amazing musicians during our five decade history. Many of those players are from right here in Rochester, and they have remained our close personal friends. From the old Meet The Artist Concert Series at Apollo Middle School, to our jazz cruises and other community concerts – we have been so lucky to have so many of these talented jazz players in our corner.
One such musician has been with us for many, many years. We talk with Rochester pianist, composer, arranger and educator John Nyerges – who speaks fondly about the many years he has worked with WGMC.
