Shoshana Bean is a singer and songwriter who has topped the Billboard Charts for both her jazz and broadway work. Born in 1977 in Olympia Washington, she moved to New York City after finishing college in Cincinnati where she studied Musical Theater. Best known for her work as Ephaba in Wicked following Idina Menzel’s run, she has also written her own musicals and won several Tony and Grammy Awards for her work. As a solo artist, she has recorded pop and R&B albums, and has performed around the world in venues including the Apollo Theater and Carnegie Hall and with performers such as Michael Jackson and Ariana Grande. She states that the inspirations for her records include Aretha Franklin, Barbra Streisand, and Frank Sinatra.
