Hal Johnson

Hal Johnson has been with Jazz 90.1 since 2006. Hal enjoys different types of Jazz, but especially loves when listeners call in a request their favorite artists/songs. As that is an opportunity to learn and find something new from you the listener. Some of Hal’s favorites are Trombone Shorty, Fo/Mo/Deep, Grant Green, and on and on. Hal is an alumni from SUNY Brockport’s 89.1 The Point and has had stops at WZNE, WPXY, WROC, and WCMF in Rochester. Hal was born and raised right here in Rochester and can be heard Saturday night from 9-11 p.m. as part of fusion on Member Supported Jazz90.1.
