Jazz90.1 is pleased to present The Brockport Big Band. This on air performance takes place on Thursday April 18 from 7-8 p.m. live on 90.1 FM in Rochester, New York, streaming via our website, and YouTube page.

The Brockport Big Band was formed over 15 years ago by band member Lorie Bryant. Directed by Walt Perkins, the band is a non-profit, all-volunteer group of musicians who enjoy performing big band music. Their repertoire includes big band era standards, contemporary compositions and arrangements, as well as big band versions of popular hit songs. The group’s members are active and retired music educators plus talented people from various other professions. The band rehearses every Tuesday from September until mid-June in preparation for several Christmas concerts, the Brockport High School Evening of Jazz, and their annual performance at the Rochester International Jazz Festival.
