Jazz90.1 is pleased to present The Brockport Big Band for a special holiday concert. This on air performance takes place on Wednesday December 1 from 7-8 p.m. live on 90.1 FM in Rochester, New York, streaming via our website, and YouTube page. 

The Brockport Big Band was formed 15 years ago by band member, Lorie Bryant. The band, directed by Walt Perkins, is a non-profit, all volunteer group of musicians who enjoy performing big band music. Their repertoire includes big band era standards, contemporary compositions and arrangements as well as big band versions of popular hit songs. The group’s members are active and retired music educators plus talented people from various other professions. They rehearse every Tuesday from September until mid-June in preparation for several Christmas concerts, the Brockport High School Evening of Jazz, and in late June, their annual performance at the Rochester International Jazz Festival.
